I will be participating in the kids race as well as finding an amazing athlete who would like to race with me in the marathon. Last year 11 year old athlete Kelly Odle completed her first marathon along with me. This marathon is unlike any other in that it is a run to remember, a run to hope and a run to believe that we all can overcome adversity.......
The 33nd Annual ASPIRE 10k held at Matlin B Middle School in Plainview Ny is one of the ASPIRE organizations biggest fundraisers for helping children who have limb loss. To race please sign up at www.glirc.org or to make a donation please go to www.aspirewithoutlimits.org
The primary beneficiary for the Dallas marathon is the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. TSRHC treats Texas children with orthopedic conditions such as scoliosis, hand disorders, hip disorders, clubfoot and limb length differences as well as certain related neurological disorders and learning disorders, such as dyslexia, at no charge to patient families. Events like this marathon help children continue to get better and being a part of that makes crossing the finish line something to remember.
